Terms of business
The terms every project runs on, in plain English. If anything here isn’t clear, ask before you agree a quote.
About these terms
Rogue Graphics is a trading name of Euan Rogers, a sole trader. Address: Le Choix, The Bayle, Folkestone, Kent, England, CT20 1SQ. Email:hello@roguegraphics.uk. In these terms “I” means Rogue Graphics and “you” means the business commissioning the work.
Quotes
Every project is quoted individually. A quote sets out the work, what you’ll receive, the price and the timescale. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they’re sent.
Agreeing the work
The contract starts when you accept the quote in writing (email or WhatsApp is fine) and the deposit is paid. Anything outside the quote is extra work, and I’ll quote for it before doing it.
Deposit
A deposit of 50% of the quoted price is due before work starts. It books your project in. The deposit is non-refundable once work has started.
Revisions
Two rounds of revisions are included. A round is one set of feedback on a draft. Further rounds, or changes to the agreed brief, are quoted separately before I do them.
Timescales
The timescale is set in each quote. It depends on receiving your brief, files and feedback on time. If something you need to supply is late, the delivery date moves by the same amount.
Final payment and files
The remaining balance is due when the final work is ready. Full-resolution files are released once the balance has been paid. Before that, you may see watermarked or low-resolution previews.
Licence and ownership
When you’ve paid in full, you receive a licence to use the final work for your business, as described in the quote. Until then, the work remains with Rogue Graphics. Drafts, unused ideas and working files are not included unless the quote says so.
Portfolio use
I may show the finished work in the studio’s portfolio and on social media. If you’d rather I didn’t, tell me in writing before the project finishes and I won’t.
Work made with AI production tools
Some imagery and motion is made with AI production tools, directed and finished by a designer. For that work:
- your use of it is limited to what the commercial licences of the tools used allow, and I’ll tell you if anything in your plans falls outside them
- you’re responsible for any brand assets, product photos, logos and likenesses you supply, and you confirm you have the right to use them
- the studio does not depict real people without their consent
Your responsibilities
You agree to give accurate information, supply what’s needed on time, give feedback in one clear set per round, and check the final work (including spelling, prices and legal wording) before you use it.
Cancellation
Either of us can end the project in writing. If it ends after work has started, the deposit is kept and any work done beyond the value of the deposit is charged. You only receive files for work that has been paid for.
Limitation of liability
My total liability for a project is limited to the fees you’ve paid for it. I’m not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Complaints
If you’re not happy, tell me as soon as possible by email and I’ll respond within five working days and try to put it right.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
